Downton State College has plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and other college town staples. For a traditional Penn State bar experience, try Zeno's or the Rathskeller.
Bellefonte is a historic Victorian town and the county seat. Check out Schnitzel's Tavern for German dining, the Gamble Mill Tavern for fine dining, or catch a movie at the historic Garman Theatre.
Boalsburg is a historic village and claims to be the birthplace of Memorial Day. Tour the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion, stroll around the Pennsylvania Military Museum 28th Division Shrine, browse the specialty shops, or grab a bite at Duffy's Tavern.
